Short Interest
The shortInterest data type returns shares shorted, float shares, and short interest as a percentage of float for a stock. Use SF() for the latest values and SF_TIMESERIES() with the "shortInterest" period for date-bounded history.
Latest short interest data
SF() returns the most recent short-interest observation. The year argument is ignored for this data type.
=SF(symbol, "shortInterest", metric, options)symbolis the ticker symbol of the stock (e.g."AAPL"). Use Symbol Search to find the correct ticker symbol.metricselects what to return. Leave blank or use"all"for all metrics, or chain metrics with&, e.g."date&sharesShorted".optionsadjusts formatting. Available option:"NH"for no header row.

shortInterestPercentage is returned as a decimal fraction: 0.25 means 25% of float.

SF_TIMESERIES() returns dated short-interest history, newest settlement date first.
=SF_TIMESERIES(symbol, startDate, endDate, "shortInterest", metrics, options)startDateandendDateare optional dates inYYYY-MM-DDformat. Omit both to return the full available history. Dates in the future are rejected, andendDatemust not be beforestartDate.metricsuses the same options as above and defaults to"all". Chain metrics with&.options:"NH"for no header rows,"-"to reverse the output to oldest first, andscale=K|M|Bto divide the share counts by thousands, millions, or billions. Scaling applies tosharesShortedandsharesFloatonly, never toshortInterestPercentage. Combine options with&, e.g."scale=M&-".
